British designers and business partners visit Master Therm

Building on the success of last year’s event, Master Therm once again welcomed designers and business partners from the United Kingdom. The two-day event, organised in cooperation with our British partner Thermal Earth, combined a professional programme in Prague with a visit to the Master Therm production facility in Jablonec nad Jizerou.

The meeting took place on 12–13 August. The first day began with a series of technical presentations at the familiar surroundings of Hotel Pyramida in Prague. The programme covered the following topics:

  • Jan Jahoda – control software, MasterTherm Online and pGDx controller functions
  • Vojtěch Formánek – Master Therm heat pump configurator and MasterCal
  • Jiří Jiránek – technical updates, safety measures related to R290 refrigerant and the development of new heat pumps
  • Jan Chytil and Martin Jeník – For Partners and MasterTherm.Tech website sections, service support

The professional programme was followed by an informal part of the event, including a group dinner and a guided tour of Prague.

From cabinet production to heat pump testing

For many participants, one of the highlights of the programme was a visit to our production facility in Jablonec nad Jizerou on the second day of the meeting. The guests had the opportunity to see virtually the entire Master Therm heat pump production process.

The tour started in the cutting area, where profiles for our characteristic heat pump cabinets are prepared, and continued through the individual production and assembly stations. The guests also visited a special chamber where the tightness of refrigerant circuits is tested in accordance with strict standards, as well as a separate workstation dedicated to filling heat pumps with the natural refrigerant R290 – propane.

The tour also included the technical facilities of the production hall. A cascade of BoxAir heat pumps operates in the local plant room, providing both heating and cooling for the production facility itself.

A look behind the scenes at our latest R290 developments

We also gave our British partners a look behind the scenes at the Master Therm development and testing centre. This is where new products planned for next year are being developed and tested, including the new flagship BoxAir 120 IP air-to-water heat pump.

The programme also included demonstrations of our current BoxAir and AquaMaster heat pump models and related accessories, including the ventilation box designed for the safe ventilation of indoor units using R290 refrigerant. Productive discussions continued throughout the morning and into lunch.

We would like to thank all participants for their exceptional interest, constructive questions and the pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to our future cooperation and to meeting again.
